- Stoney Knob Cafe 337 Merrimon Ave in Weaverville, not Asheville. “Imaginative American fare with Mediterranean twist”. Lunch and dinner only. Reservations a good idea. Our favorite dinner night out.

HIKING NEAR ASHEVILLE:
- Bent Creek: Take Bent Creek Ranch Rd off Brevard Rd, then take Wesley Branch Rd
- Dupont State Recreational Forest, one hour drive south of Asheville
WATERFALLS IN THE AREA:
- Hickory Nut Falls at Chimney Rock State Park, 30 miles southeast on US74 Alt East
- Graveyard Fields, 10 miles south of Pisgah Inn, on Parkway
- Sliding Rock, south of Pisgah Inn, on US 276. 45 minutes
- Looking Glass Falls, south of Pisgah Inn, on US 276
- Moore Cove Falls, south of Pisgah Inn, on US 276
